New Website and first Blog 10/8/18

Finally we have got the new website up and running as you can see! Huge thanks to Tom at 4bDesign for his patience and professionalism, Tom showed me the basics for the news page so this is my very first blog!

It’s been a busy month at Southern Sea Kayaks we have enjoyed some great paddling in the Isles of Scilly, I endured a broken rib at Lands End at the West Cornwall Sea Kayak Meet (it’s a long story) since then I have had to take it easier but have enjoyed sharing my love of kayaking whilst doing a few coaching days.

This month I also had the worst ever journey to Holyhead to collect kayaks, outside of kayaking I volunteer to home check for people hoping to adopt some poor unfortunate creature, well its another long story but I agreed to collect  Archie from Chester on my way back from SKUK Holyhead, saying hi and going for a walk in the evening so the poor fella didn’t feel to disturbed at 4am the following morning when I planned to swiftly transport him to his new waiting owners, 3 closed motorways! yep after the first 120 miles I realised I was still only 30 miles from Chester, 7.5 hrs later we were home, Phew!

We are now stocking Steve Whetman’s amazing kit which will compliment our current range of kayaks and equipment

As usual, a big thanks to all my amazing customers, some are feeling the benefit of great new boats, some with a Steve Whetman tow belt or spray-deck, without you it would not be possible, Obviously 🙂

Anyway till my next blog
