Used by many explorers all around the world this is still the number one go to kayak, fast, maneuverable and possibly one of the best load carriers in its class, ideal for a day trip or a month in the wilds.
Designed for rough water and covering distances, this expedition kayak is manoeuvrable and directionally stable. Made to fit the small paddler by designing a smaller cockpit with less volume than the standard Explorer. The hull shape remains the same as the standard Explorer. This kayak is more stable than the Pilgrim Expedition and will support a heavier paddler.
The kayak is fitted with a foam seat, unless otherwise requested. If a paddler should instead want a High performance glass seat, this can be fitted for no extra cost, but it has to be specifically ordered. The small paddler may even want to consider the small size High performance glass seat, also for no additional costs. The kayak has a low rear deck for easy rolling, a keyhole cockpit that gives excellent grip, control and allows quick exit if need be. The sloping bulkhead behind the seat allows the kayak to be emptied by lifting only the bow, no x-rescue is necessary.
An expedition kayak for the small paddler, length: 532.5 cm, width: 54.5 cm, depth: 31 cm, overall volume: 282 litres, front hatch volume: 80 litres, cockpit volume: 110 litres, day hatch volume: 37 litres, rear hatch volume: 55 litres.
